I asked the Blue Collar Brothers to go behind

20
00:01:52,919 --> 00:01:57,361
the remix to answer a couple quick questions
in this one minute interview. So what does

21
00:01:57,361 --> 00:02:02,653
the name Blue Collar Brothers mean? I came up
with the name Blue Collar Bros  because basically

22
00:02:02,653 --> 00:02:08,675
that's what I am.  A blue collar worker. I figured
the name was cool  and it could relate to a

23
00:02:08,675 --> 00:02:13,346
lot of people out there.  No real magic behind
the name. Can you describe your sound? And

24
00:02:13,346 --> 00:02:20,606
what keeps you motivated to remix? My sound
is a mix of 50 % nostalgia and 50 % of my life

25
00:02:20,606 --> 00:02:21,186
experiences.

26
00:02:26,798 --> 00:02:31,482
Producing music since the late 80s,  I kept
with that retro style that always brings me

27
00:02:31,482 --> 00:02:37,128
back  to the magical years of music,  but with
some modern elements to spark the interest

28
00:02:37,128 --> 00:02:42,803
 of the new generation seeking out that retro
feel. I just wanted to kind of  modernize some

29
00:02:42,803 --> 00:02:49,583
classic tunes  the way I like, which is why
I started.  I basically just use filtered vocals

30
00:02:49,704 --> 00:02:55,449
and  recreate all the music myself almost like
a cover of the original song but still having

31
00:02:55,469 --> 00:03:00,713
the original singer singing it.  I make these
remixes mainly for my own interest. The nostalgia

32
00:03:00,713 --> 00:03:05,868
relaxes me and helps me forget about the nonsense
in the world these days  especially when I'm

33
00:03:05,868 --> 00:03:10,242
stressed at work.  It's my own therapy. That
was Blue Collar Brothers coming up in the mix.

34
00:03:10,242 --> 00:03:14,706
 Now  on to the beats!

35
00:03:31,224 --> 00:03:31,471
My

36
00:03:43,054 --> 00:03:43,442
you

37
00:03:57,838 --> 00:03:59,199
 I'm to see

38
00:04:46,638 --> 00:04:47,858
Oh

39
00:05:00,738 --> 00:05:02,514
So won't

40
00:05:16,504 --> 00:05:17,298
you

41
00:05:37,772 --> 00:05:39,489
It's where the waiting ends at

42
00:10:16,654 --> 00:10:17,106
you

43
00:12:25,878 --> 00:12:45,586
Add  you

44
00:14:11,318 --> 00:14:25,972
So me up, cause I'm on fire And I can't quench
my desire Don't you know I'll pick up all your

45
00:14:25,972 --> 00:14:35,396
love You're not convinced this bad is enough
I'll put myself in this position And I deserve

46
00:14:35,396 --> 00:14:43,930
being in position But you don't even know  I'm
alive And this pounding in my heart just won't

47
00:14:43,930 --> 00:14:44,200
die

48
00:15:04,193 --> 00:15:10,738
you I want you

49
00:15:14,658 --> 00:15:23,176
convinced that that is enough  to justify my
wanting you  Now tell me  what you want me

50
00:15:23,176 --> 00:15:24,178
to do

51
00:18:41,834 --> 00:18:45,554
Peace!  For unity! Strike a pose.

52
00:19:13,900 --> 00:19:14,770
you

53
00:19:34,766 --> 00:19:35,122
fellas.

54
00:19:39,276 --> 00:19:40,370
strike a pose

55

58
00:20:59,422 --> 00:21:03,982
fellas that were in the moment Don't just stand
there, let's get to it, strike a pose, there's

59
00:21:03,982 --> 00:21:08,978
nothing to it You can see it's

60
00:22:43,970 --> 00:22:55,013
They shine like neon lights They glow,  they
glow  We're so lost in the dream Don't go,

61
00:22:55,013 --> 00:23:06,806
 don't go  I turn the music up  I wanna feel
the bass Pump it through my  blood Oh, just

62
00:23:06,806 --> 00:23:12,338
give me a cut Baby make it deep Pump it through
my blood

63
00:23:27,246 --> 00:23:28,523
Compass through my blood

64
00:23:35,662 --> 00:23:39,813
 Born out in a rush  Baby make it deep

65
00:24:39,278 --> 00:24:52,043
In in space I turn the music up I wanna feel
the bass Pump it through my blood Just give

66
00:24:52,043 --> 00:24:58,490
me a grasp Baby make it deep Pump it through
my blood Pump it through my blood

67
00:25:02,926 --> 00:25:04,086
Just give me a call

68
00:25:17,030 --> 00:25:20,990
Just give me a cut, me a cut, uh

69
00:25:26,264 --> 00:25:28,242
D-cut, D-cut

70
00:25:35,662 --> 00:25:39,794
 We're not in a rush, maybe make it  deep

71
00:26:28,590 --> 00:26:29,906
Peace.

72
00:27:42,732 --> 00:27:43,602
I wanna be

73
00:28:15,278 --> 00:28:24,114
Circles, love goes Round in circles Too close,
you need it the most

74
00:28:27,726 --> 00:28:29,778
Take it easy on me

75
00:28:59,352 --> 00:28:59,690
Maybe

76
00:29:09,569 --> 00:29:10,642
in touch for your war and

77
00:29:29,102 --> 00:29:30,770
 Easy on me

78
00:30:39,342 --> 00:30:40,082
you

79
00:32:29,282 --> 00:32:34,262
From beginning to end

80
00:32:43,616 --> 00:32:48,114
you I

81
00:36:15,886 --> 00:36:24,906
Using myself over other hearts Thought I'd make
it out and I had to so far Castles and clouds,

82
00:36:25,226 --> 00:36:32,946
yeah, I'm in the south hands, yeah But come

83
00:36:32,946 --> 00:36:35,306

Marc Pompeo Profile Photo

Marc Pompeo

Producer / Blue Collar Bros.

Here's a rewritten version with some minor changes to improve clarity and coherence:

Marc Pompeo founded Biotrans in 1993 alongside Oliver Barkovic. The duo signed with Stickman Records in Toronto and released two 4-track EPs together. After Biotrans disbanded, Marc continued to produce music under the Biotrans moniker, releasing an additional two EPs: a 4-track EP and a double EP featuring remixes.

After a 20-year hiatus, Marc revived the Biotrans brand in 2015. That same year, he founded The Blue Collar Bros., a project that collaborates with local and international vocalists. The Blue Collar Bros. specialize in blending the retro sound of the 1980s with modern electronic elements.

Throughout his career, Marc has released music on various labels, including Captain Records, Stickman Records, Definitive Recordings, Popular Records, 6&7 Music, Kiko Records/Blackbug/Mr.Jack, Zenzontle Records, and Sovrana Productions. He has released music under multiple aliases, including Biotrans, The M.Pompeo Project, The Captain, the MPE Project, and Blue Collar Bros.

Marc's music production focuses on House, Synthwave, Italo disco, and their sub-genres, combining the classic flavors of the 1980s with today's modern electronic vibes.
